Website Design

We specialise in building creative, beautiful, functional – but most importantly – responsive websites to take your business to the next level. We’re ready to build your next website and we’re here to help keep it fresh and continue performing. Our modular approach means we can scale your site and add functionality when you’re ready. You don’t need to do everything at the start, so as your business grows, your site can grow with you.

Brand strategy

We work with clients to help them define the essence of what their brand is all about, how and why it’s special and unique. Never without research, audits and market(s) analysis – a new positioning can’t exist without the science bit.

Visual identity

This is how you touch, feel and get to know the brand. The identity brings it to life: logo, typefaces, colours, what imagery does it have, how does your brand speak? Our guidelines politely relay the do’s and don’ts.

Digital design

So much digital design is a brochure executed online. (A particular niggle of ours.) Our approach always centres on insight and human engagement.

Motion graphics

Possibly the fastest way to establish your brand values and credentials by using animation or film. Get your brand connecting by immediately appealing to the senses. 

Information graphics

Decluttering clutter is a skill in itself. We communicate complex information in a digestible way using an imaginative approach to charts and diagrams and the graphic representation of data.

Brand architecture

A really, really important area if you have a number of brands that sit together. We help work through the sometimes complex relationships between them.

Naming ideation

Surprisingly difficult, great fun to do but there is a Curious process to it – there has to be otherwise you will arrive at names that frustratingly have already gone.

Tone of voice

Words can often be the neglected element of a brand and yet they are as important as images in making the brand come alive. We work to create a distinctive tone of voice for our clients developing guidelines and running tone of voice workshops to help them ‘get it’.

Clarity, to me, is one of the keys to developing a project one loves. When we clarify our project’s definite chief aim, many opportunities for personal growth and career development come our way. As a result of working with me, artists, photographers and authors, clarify their project’s purpose, strengthen their photographic research, selection and story telling. They develop self-confidence and skills required to design, print and bind their photobook. I am looking for individuals who are interested in drastically transforming their photographic projects into photobooks and can use clarity coaching. Photobook and self-publishing

This 1: 1 masterclass (individual sessions) is perfect for you if you have a photographic project that you want to publish, and you need to:

• develop the editorial plan
• consolidate the concept and / or narrative
• group, serialise and sequence photography and text
• use indesign to place photographs and text
• choose paper suitable for duplex printing
• learn to print duplex with laser printer 
• bind the book by hand
• publish and distribute a small edition

Gift Ecology
Masterclasses in msdm studio may also be offered in the “Gift Ecology“, inspired by Charles Eisenstein, author of Sacred Economics.  If you can’t afford the set fees, you are invited to gift the studio in return.
Those new to this practice ask what is the average gift given per session: this is typically £200 per 4 hour session, £500 per package of 3x 4 hour sessions and £800 per weekend, as outlined above
